Food and Drug Application Research Institute covers an area of 6250 square meters, including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry instrument, high performance liquid phase, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, atomic fluorescence spectrometer, freeze drying machine, pathogen testing asepsis room, food nutrition simulation laboratory and other high-end equipment and laboratory training and teaching facilities. At present, there are more than 30 large laboratories for teaching and a number of auxiliary experimental preparation rooms, such as pharmaceutical technology laboratory, drug testing laboratory, food technology laboratory, food engineering principle laboratory, bakery and beverage laboratory, nutrition catering and sensory assessment laboratory, food nutrition simulation laboratory, food microbiology laboratory, pathogen testing asepsis room, Atomic absorption/fluorescence laboratory, GC-MS laboratory, high performance liquid phase laboratory, ultraviolet/visible light laboratory, biochemistry laboratory, micro-entrepreneurship training room, and 1 pilot production line for baking food processing.

We have abundant professional teachers, reasonable structure of teachers, complementary advantages and close echelon connection. We have 5 high-level provincial and ministerial teachers, including provincial academic technology leader, provincial Outstanding Young science and technology expert, Shanghai Chenguang Scholar and Shanghai Yucai Award winner, and 2 food testing and baking skills masters. There are more than 70 full-time and part-time teachers in the institute, including 47 full-time teachers, including 17 teachers with associate senior title or above, and 9 teachers with doctor's degree. Double-professional teachers account for more than 74.47%. There are many highly skilled talents such as Western pastry chefs, senior technicians, senior food inspectors, public dietitians and registered dietitians.

In the past three years, she has made fruitful achievements in professional development. She has edited and participated in the compilation of 13 publicly published textbooks, among which, for the first time in China, she has systematically compiled and publicly published the food inspection series of Routine Physical and Chemical Inspection of Food, Routine Microbiological Inspection of Food, Physical and Chemical Inspection of Food Safety, and Food Pathogenic Microbiological Inspection, and has completed the construction of the resource base of the above four courses. Ma Xinru won the gold medal in the student group of Western Pastry Chef in the National Rural Vitalization Vocational Skills Competition. In Internet Plus, Challenge Cup and other competitions, we have won 1 national bronze award, 2 Shanghai Gold Award, 3 silver awards, 11 bronze awards and winning awards and several other awards.

Relying on the unique location advantage of Food Golden Mountain and the bio-pharmaceutical industry cluster, the company has achieved in-depth integration of production and education with more than 30 food park enterprises and more than 10 third party food testing institutions, including Unilever (China) Co., LTD., in Shanghai Jinshan Industrial Zone. It has achieved the four co-construction of the off-campus training base, the teaching staff, the training process and the teaching classroom, forming the prototype of the food and drug application research institute.
