Recently, the 2023 Jinshan District Technician Workstation and Chief Technician Subsidy Application organized by the Shanghai Jinshan District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau was successfully completed, and Ou Jiming, a teacher of our college, was awarded the honorary title of Chief Technician of Jinshan District.
Faculty Profile
Ou Jiming, a Western-style pastry chef and technician, is an advanced individual of Zhongqiao University's Three Comprehensive Education, and is currently the professional director of food intelligent processing technology (baking and beverage processing).
Since joining the work in 2016, Ms. Ou has continuously improved her skill level, and has obtained the fifth, fourth, third and second level certificates of Western-style pastry chefs;Since September 2017, she has been responsible for the registration, training organization and coordination of the advanced certificate of Western-style pastry chefs in the college, with a total of 371 trainees;In 2021, she guided students to participate in the 8th China International Internet + College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition as the second instructor, and participated in the project Favorite Capsule Coffee—— In September 2022, she guided students to participate in the baking project of the 2nd National Vocational Skills Competition in Shanghai, and won the second place and was rated as an excellent instructor, and in 2023, she won the fourth place in the selected baking project of the first Shanghai Vocational Skills Competition, and in the same year, she won the second prize of the intermediate course of the Western-style pastry chef in the first Zhongqiao Cup Teacher Teaching Skills Competition.
Teacher Ou has served as an expert judge of the competition, she has applied the new equipment, new technology and new skills learned in the competition to daily teaching and the construction of the training room, regularly organizes and participates in the college's baking activities, including community baking activities, vocational experience days for primary and secondary school students and takes students to visit baking exhibitions, etc., and actively recommends relevant jobs for students, and the employment situation of students has been stable in the past three years. In the next step, Mr. Ou will continue to improve his skills, pass on his skills with his apprentices, and inherit and carry forward the spirit of craftsmen.

The School of Food and Pharmacy Science of Zhongqiao University cooperates with many well-known enterprises at home and abroad, such as Nanqiao Food, Uni-President Food, Starbucks Coffee, Tim (Shanghai) Catering, and has a number of engineers from Guangming Group and Yihai Kerry Group as part-time corporate mentors, providing assistance for students' practical training and future employment. Yonghui Supermarket and others signed a modern apprenticeship training agreement to jointly develop a series of courses for Western-style pastry chefs, so as to combine talent training with the needs of enterprises, and provide a strong guarantee for the new curriculum, new system, new teaching methods and new teaching resources of modern apprenticeship training. In addition, the college's teacher skills studio has organized students to participate in skills competitions and won many awards, such as in 2019, students won the winning prize in the 46th World Skills Competition Shanghai Selection Competition (Sugar Art Project) in the China Skills Competition, and in 2022, students won the gold medal in the National Rural Revitalization Vocational Skills Competition (Western-style pastry chef), won the second place in the baking project of the 2nd National Vocational Skills Competition Shanghai Competition, and won the World Barista Competition China Selection (WBC)—— Jinan won the first place in the division.
