On September 1, 2025, the Sino-German Summer Camp of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) officially opened. Faculty and students from both China and Germany gathered at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University to kick off a two-week program of cultural and academic exchange. This marks the second consecutive year that Zhongqiao University has successfully hosted the program, which was officially approved as a project by the China Education Association for International Exchange in 2024, further advancing Sino-German educational cooperation.

On September 3, the summer camp delegation visited JAKA Robotics Co., Ltd., a leading innovator in the field of collaborative robots, for an in-depth technical exchange and industry observation. Earlier this May, Zhongqiao University signed a university-enterprise cooperation agreement with JAKA, jointly establishing the “Zhongqiao-JAKA Robotics Industry Academy.” The partnership aims to deepen collaboration among academia, industry, and research, promote the integration of industry and education, and actively support the upgrading of the intelligent manufacturing sector—laying a solid foundation for building high-quality, internationalized university-enterprise cooperation.

The observation activity took place at JAKA’s headquarters in Shanghai, where the company’s senior management warmly welcomed the delegation. Guided by professional staff, the students and faculty toured the product showroom and R&D center. The students showed great interest in the technical features of JAKA robots and engaged in active discussions with engineers on key technological topics. JAKA’s advanced manufacturing processes, rigorous quality management system, and highly automated production capabilities left a strong impression, giving participants a direct and deeper understanding of the “quality” and “speed” of Chinese intelligent manufacturing.

Leveraging the platform of the Zhongqiao-JAKA Robotics Industry Academy, this event further expanded the network of high-quality international university-enterprise cooperation, promoted alignment between talent cultivation systems and the global advanced manufacturing ecosystem, and worked toward a sustainable development model of “university-enterprise collaboration, Sino-foreign synergy, and industry-education win-win.”
