In order to promote friendly exchanges and strengthen international cooperation with DHBW, our School of Economics and Management selected 10 students to participate in 10-days business short-term exchange program in Germany. Through academic lectures, company visits and cultural exchanges, students will learn about the differences between cultures, business management concepts in the digital economy, and the challenges posed by modern technology to the security and resilience of global supply chains. By visiting famous German enterprises, we can understand the stories behind successful international companies, understand the business management methods, and learn the advanced “duales studium ausbildung” training mode. Apart from learning, teachers and students will also have the opportunity to visit the surrounding characteristic towns, understand the local customs, and personally experience the collision between different cultures.
Nearly 20 hours’ tired flight did not affect the enthusiasm of the teachers and students, and the welcome ceremony of the short-term exchange program was held at 10:00 local time on July 11, at the Lörrach campus of DHBW, Germany. The welcoming ceremony was attended by Professor Johannes Kern, Vice President of the Lörrach Campus and Dean of the School of Economics and Management of DHBW, and Professor Sebastian Feichtmair, Head of the Department of Business Administration - International Business. At the welcoming ceremony, Professor Johannes Kern expressed his sincere welcome to our arrival and introduced in detail the dual teaching model and study abroad program in Germany. In the process of self-introduction, the teachers and students of Zhongqiao also expressed their expectations for this exchange activity and their enthusiasm for learning the successful experience of DHBW.
DHBW attached great importance to this short-term exchange program. At 13:30 local time on July 11, Professor Johannes Kern led to visit the city hall and held a grand welcoming ceremony in the city hall. The mayor extended this warm welcome to introduce the history, culture and economy of Lörrach. Teacher Lu Hong of Zhongqiao University also made an exchange speech at the end of the ceremony, expressing his gratitude to the mayor and DHBW, and also welcoming them to visit Zhongqiao. After the ceremony, the teachers and students of our school signed the guest book, which is said to be a manual for leaving messages to the most distinguished guests, which shows the importance of the visit.
Through this short-term exchange program in Germany, we not only have a deeper understanding of the “duales studium ausbildung” training mode in Germany, but also have a further understanding of the Lörrach and DHBW, which will certainly help to promote the integration of industry and education in our school in the future, and help to promote the in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two schools. On August 6th, 18 teachers and students from DHBW will come to our school for exchange. This is the first time DHBW has sent a delegation to our school, representing the beginning of mutual visits and substantive exchanges and cooperation between the two schools. We also expect them to have certain gains in our school and lay a solid foundation for future exchanges and cooperation.
