On November 9, the 24th China University Swimming Championship (Southern Division) opened grandly at the Xiamen Olympic Sports Center Natatorium.
Hosted by the China School Sports Federation, the event brought together more than 800 athletes from 105 universities. Making its debut on the national stage, our university’s swimming team delivered an outstanding performance—winning 4 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals, breaking one championship record, and securing third place in the overall team standings, marking a historic achievement for our university.
On the field of competition, several athletes surpassed their personal bests to claim gold in individual events. In the relay races, the team demonstrated strong coordination and composure under pressure, earning additional medals. In the women’s 4×100m medley relay, our swimmers showed remarkable perseverance, achieved a breakthrough performance, and set a new meet record. Their efforts fully embodied the spirit of “higher, faster, stronger,” showcasing the resilience and competitive strength of Zhongqiao students.
