On November 21, the Shanghai Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce held its “Visit to Zeta Education” exchange event at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University. Chamber leaders, representatives from 30 enterprises, Zeta Group executives, and leadership from both Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Shanghai Polytechnic gathered to explore new models of university–industry collaboration. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Sheng.

Organized by Zeta Group’s education division, the event aimed to promote two-way empowerment between universities and enterprises, strengthen the alignment of education and talent pipelines with industry and innovation needs, and support the cultivation of high-quality technical talent.

In his remarks, Zeta Group Chairman and President Yan Jianjun emphasized the Group’s long-term commitment to integrating vocational education with industry development. He encouraged deeper cooperation under a model where “the Chamber builds the platform, enterprises pose the questions, and universities provide the solutions,” and called for joint efforts to advance talent development and technological innovation.

Both universities introduced their industry-education integration initiatives. The Chamber then signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the two institutions, focusing on internship and training bases, joint laboratories, talent development systems, and innovation incubation. Nineteen enterprises also signed university–enterprise cooperation agreements across various sectors.

During the exchange session, Chamber representatives highlighted the importance of industry support for vocational education and expressed their commitment to linking more high-quality enterprises with the two universities to build a stronger cooperation ecosystem.
In closing, Yan Jianjun stressed the need for universities and enterprises to work in sync to cultivate talent that meets future industry demands and to deepen alignment between the education, talent, industry, and innovation chains.
The event provided an effective platform for advancing university–industry cooperation. With the signing of multiple agreements, the university, Zeta Group, the Chamber, and participating enterprises will continue working together to bridge the “last mile” between talent development and industrial needs and contribute to the high-quality development of vocational education.
