On May 16, the 22nd Shanghai Education Expo officially opened at the Shanghai Exhibition Center under the theme “Empowering Education with AI, Envisioning the Future.” The event featured seven themed exhibition areas, including municipal education, the Yangtze River Delta integration, “AI + Education,” higher education, regional education, vocational education, and the AI Education Community. More than 130 institutions presented their innovations and achievements in the integration of AI and education.
Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University (SHZQU) participated in the central exhibition area for the first time, showcasing its cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence in vocational education. Through immersive displays featuring smart training systems and AI-powered teaching scenarios, SHZQU highlighted its role as a pioneer in AI-enabled education and as Shanghai’s first vocational undergraduate university.
Exhibition highlights included thematic displays designed by the School of Information Engineering, School of Nursing and Health, and School of Art, covering areas such as “AI + Professions,” “AI + Smart Healthcare,” and “Cultural Heritage of Jinshan Peasant Paintings.” These exhibits received strong positive feedback from visitors. A variety of engaging activities—including program introductions, interactive experiences, creative souvenirs, and custom campus stamps—attracted over 10,000 attendees throughout the three-day event.
With 15,080 votes cast by visitors, SHZQU ranked second on the event’s Top 10 Most Popular Institutions list, reflecting the university’s growing influence and strong public recognition. Attendees expressed high interest in SHZQU’s academic programs, international exchange opportunities, career development pathways, and admissions policies, engaging in in-depth conversations with faculty and staff at the consultation booths.
The Expo provided a valuable platform for peer exchange and public engagement. SHZQU leveraged the opportunity to showcase its achievements in moral education, industry-education integration, and technical skills development, offering a multidimensional view of the university’s educational vision and its commitment to cultivating globally competitive talent.
