On April 23, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University held an opening ceremony for the launch of Chinese Language and Culture Study Center in Tunisia of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Techinical University “Chinese + Technical” Program. Ms. Tracy Zhang, Chairperson of the Global Development Alliance for Asia and Africa (GDAAA), Mr. Bechir Mhalla, General Secretary of GDAAA; Professor Moez Khenissi, Vice President of the University of Sousse, Professor Monia Chouari, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences; Ms. Liu Shuyun, Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao University, and Ms. Li Mei, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages attended the opening ceremony. Zhongqiao University's International Cooperation Office and Publicity Department participated in the meeting. The opening ceremony was co-hosted by Tracy Zhang and Dr. Fatma Kilani from the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences of the University of Sousse.
Leaders from Zhongqiao University and University of Sousse jointly addressed for the opening ceremony. Through the program, Tunisian youth who are willing to study, intern, or work in China could be offered more opportunities to learn languages, understand cultures, acquire skills as well as broaden international horizons. Looking forward to playing a positive role as a multi-functional platform in deepen Chinese learning and friendships maintaining.
The establishment of the Chinese Language and Culture Learning Center is a significant measure for Zhongqiao to develop international exchange and cooperation. Zhongqiao University will fully leverage the platform role, providing high-quality language teaching programs and courses, cultivating young talents who are proficient in languages, technology, and culture. Zhongqiao University will make use of existing high-quality educational resources, international cooperation platforms to broaden the paths for university, constantly enhance international vision and promote international exchange and cooperation.
