For exchange and mutual reference of the advanced experience of vocational education, and to broaden the path of high-quality development of university, on April 17, Chang Shaowei, Chairman of Shanghai Jiao Da Education Group, and Wang Xuegen, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College, along with their delegation, visited Shanghai Zhongqiao University for exchange. President Huo Jiazhen, Secretary of the Party Committee Ping Jie, Vice President Liu Shuyun, and relevant department heads attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by vice president Liu Shuyun.
Liu Shuyun warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation from Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College and hoped that through this exchange and communication, both sides can learn from each other and make mutual improvement.
During the meeting, Huo Jiazhen introduced university development history, schooling philosophy, schooling characteristics and achievements. Both parties expressed willingness to enhance mutual interaction and communication in the future, deepen cooperation in construction of disciplines and programs, industry-education integration and services to local community to jointly contribute to the sociolect-economic development of the Yangtze River Delta.
Ping Jie mainly introduced practices and thoughts in Party construction work. Zhongqiao University insists on serving the local communities, promoting regional economic and social development. He expressed that both parties can explore and deepen the cooperation model of resource sharing and jointly organizing activities.
President Wang Xuegen highly praised the talent cultivation, internationalization, and Party construction work at the Shanghai Zhongqiao University, and introduced the recent development and future plans of Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College. He looked forward to learning from each other and making mutual improvement and deepening long-term cooperation mechanisms in talent cultivation, industry-education integration and other aspects.
At the meeting, participants interacted and exchanged topics in vocational education, innovative management models and so on. They expressed willingness to further strengthen communication and cooperation to jointly promote the high-quality development of both parties.
Chang Shaowei, Chairman of Shanghai Jiao Da Education Group, said that the visit of Shanghai Zhongqiao University is insightful, and hoped to further enhance the opportunities for mutual learning and exchange. He also expected to promote exchange and cooperation in international education, talent cultivation, construction of discipline and programs and faculty enhancement to establish a closer cooperative relationship of mutual reference and assistance.
In the future, both parties will jointly explore new models of industry-education integration, making greater contributions to the cultivation of more innovative and applied talents for economic and social development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
After the meeting, leaders from Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College visited the training room, the industry-education integration base and other sites. They gained a further understanding of the practical teaching situation of majors such as UAV Application Technology and Food quality and Safety. They were impressed by informatization development and international talent cultivation of Zhongqiao University.
