On the morning of May 28, 2025, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and the international language learning platform Duolingo held a joint unveiling ceremony, marking Duolingo's official entry into Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University. Both sides will jointly promote innovation in English teaching and assessment.

At the beginning of the event, Feng Yuqiang, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, delivered a welcome speech, warmly welcoming the arrival of many neighboring countries and emphasizing that this cooperation will inject new impetus into the school's international talent cultivation. Representatives from several neighboring countries subsequently spoke, introducing the advantages of the platform in the field of language education and future cooperation directions.

Yan Hui, Assistant to the President and Minister of International Affairs, and Liu Liu, Representative of Duolingo China, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Duolingo Zhongqiao University English Teaching Cooperation Base and exchanged commemorative gifts. At the same time, the Academic Affairs Office announced an important policy: Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University will replace traditional CET-4 and CET-6 exams with Duolingo English test scores as the standard for student English proficiency certification starting from the 2025 academic year.

Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University reported on the pilot results of English teaching in Duolingo, demonstrating its significant effectiveness in improving students' language application abilities.
