
In order to thoroughly implement the important deployment of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to promote the construction of a healthy China, fully implement the requirements of the Healthy China 2030 plan and the Healthy Shanghai 2030 plan, and focus on solving the pain points of scattered resources and insufficient collaboration between industry, academia and research in the health field, the Health Branch Forum of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association and the Second Doctoral Forum of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University were held grandly on November 13, 2025 in the report hall on the second floor of the university's graphic and information building. Vice Director Gao Xia of the Health Commission of Jinshan District, Shanghai, Executive Vice President Zhou Jun and Secretary General Cai Dongsheng of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, Executive Vice President Zhao Bin and Vice President and Chairman of the Health Branch Wu Youzhi of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, and Former Dean of the School of Bioengineering at East China University of Science and Technology and Vice Chairman of the Health Branch Zhuang Yingping were invited to attend. Experts, scholars, teachers and student representatives from universities, research institutes, tertiary medical institutions, and health enterprises gathered together to witness the birth of a new platform for communication and cooperation in the health field and explore new paths for high-quality development of the industry.

At the beginning of the meeting, Zhao Bin, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school. He pointed out that the school has always been guided by the strategy of serving the Healthy China, deeply cultivating talents and scientific research practices in health-related fields. It has not only built a characteristic professional system covering food and medicine, nursing health, and culinary nutrition, but also established multiple high-level platforms such as the Shanghai Food and Drug Comprehensive Experimental Demonstration Teaching Center and the Virtual Simulation Training Base. The annual social training scale and skill appraisal personnel continue to increase. The establishment of the Health Branch and the holding of the forum are not only key measures for the school to implement the '15th Five Year Plan' development plan and deepen the integration of industry and education, but also important opportunities to integrate high-quality resources in the health field and promote the transformation of scientific research achievements. President Zhao stated that the school will take the Health Branch as a link, fully leverage the advantages of disciplines and platforms, deepen cooperation with all parties in talent cultivation, technology research and development, science popularization services, etc., and provide more high-quality technical and skilled talents for the development of the regional health industry.

In the anticipation of all the guests, the conference entered the core stage - the establishment ceremony of the Health Branch of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association. Cai Dongsheng, Secretary General of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, first took the stage and read out the approval document for the establishment of the Health Branch, officially confirming the landing of this special communication platform in the field of health with official authorization. Subsequently, Wu Youzhi, Chairman of the Health Branch of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, provided a detailed introduction to the entire process and future development plan of the special committee from preparation to implementation. He mentioned that since the establishment of the branch in December 2024, after three months of in-depth research and visits to more than 20 representative units in the Yangtze River Delta region, a hierarchical management system of Chairman Vice Chairman Executive Director Director Director Director was finally constructed, which absorbed the first batch of 37 director units and more than 50 individual members, of which 42% were senior title experts and 58% were personnel with doctoral degrees or above. In the future, the branch will focus on four core functions: policy research, talent cultivation, technology transformation, and science popularization propaganda. It will hold themed academic forums every quarter, collaborate with universities and enterprises to develop standardized training courses, form science popularization propaganda teams to enter communities and campuses, and make every effort to build a professional cooperation platform covering the entire health industry chain.

Subsequently, amidst warm applause, Gao Xia, Deputy Director of the Health Commission of Jinshan District, Shanghai, Zhou Jun, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, Zhao Bin, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, and Wu Youzhi, Chairman of the Health Branch of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Health Branch. The red ribbon fell, marking the official launch of this new platform aimed at promoting coordinated development in the health field.


At the ceremony, a ceremony was held simultaneously to award the letters of appointment to the unit and individual committee members. Representatives of 15 unit members, including Shanghai Heyu Trading Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huayan Testing Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhehui Health Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Dishi Biotechnology Co., Ltd., stepped onto the stage one by one to receive the letters of appointment symbolizing cooperation and responsibility; Fourteen expert and scholar representatives from the fields of healthcare, scientific research, and education, including Zhao Zhiwei, Ren Lingying, Li Shuo, and Yao Ting, were awarded individual membership letters to inject professional strength into the branch.


After the establishment ceremony, Gao Xia, Deputy Director of the Health Commission of Jinshan District, Shanghai, and Zhou Jun, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, delivered speeches at the forum, providing suggestions and recommendations for the development of the health branch and the future of the health field. Vice Director Gao Xia affirmed the importance of the Health Branch in integrating government, enterprise, and school resources and enhancing public health service capabilities, based on the actual development of the health industry in Jinshan District. She hoped that the Branch could fully play its role as a bridge and link, promote the sinking of high-quality health resources, and provide strong support for the upgrading of Jinshan's health industry and the improvement of public health literacy. Starting from the core concept of zero harm, zero accidents, and zero pollution of the research association, Vice President Zhou Jun emphasized that the Health Branch should be based in Shanghai and radiate to the Yangtze River Delta, with the positioning of academic leadership, industrial linkage, and serving people's livelihood, to solve the last mile problem of scientific research achievement transformation and help promote high-quality development in the health field.



The academic sharing session has become the smart highland of this forum, with three top experts in the field of health bringing cutting-edge research results and practical insights. Professor Zhuang Yingping, former dean of the School of Bioengineering at East China University of Science and Technology and vice chairman of the Health Branch, gave a comprehensive analysis of the innovative application of intelligent technology in the research and development of biopharmaceuticals and health foods, titled Intelligent Biological Manufacturing Technology Helps the Development of Synthetic Biology Industry, providing technical references for industrial upgrading; Professor Mo Xiumei focused on electrospinning nanofibers for repairing tissues and maintaining health, showcasing the breakthrough progress of nanomaterials in the field of medical repair and demonstrating the practical value of interdisciplinary research; Professor Li Hui from Shanghai University of Applied Sciences, combined with the theme of integrating medical and prevention into enterprises, compared and analyzed the Guangzhou model of occupational health services with Shanghai's practical experience, providing new ideas for improving the regional occupational health service system.











In the afternoon, the forum shifted to a doctoral forum segment with the theme of Health and Sustainable Development. Several doctors from our university took the stage to share their research results on hot topics in the field of health. From Dr. Lu Lin's in-depth exploration of the evaluation of rice taste in China, to Dr. Guo Hongchong's research on biomaterials based on the construction of 3D porous scaffolds using natural silk protein; From Dr. Xu Guocai's practical summary on Essentials of Food Nutrition and Research and Development of Nutritious Foods to Dr. Zhang Liying's innovative exploration on Insect Biomimetic Materials and Gene Function; Moving on to Dr. Zhou Xiaofei's research on the application of natural products to intervene in hyperuricemia and Dr. Hu Zhanqiang's livelihood project on exploring delicious rice cooking technology based on image analysis, the sharing of these doctors spans across multiple fields such as food nutrition, biotechnology, disease intervention, and materials science. It not only showcases the infinite possibilities of interdisciplinary research, but also deeply impresses the audience on site with the core value of scientific research serving human health and improving people's livelihoods.

At the end of the forum, Vice President Wu Youzhi delivered the closing speech. He highly summarized the three major achievements of this event: firstly, the successful establishment of a new platform for collaborative innovation among government, industry, academia, research, and application in the field of health; secondly, the convergence of top industry wisdom and cutting-edge technological achievements; and thirdly, the stimulation of young scholars' innovative vitality in the field of health. Principal Wu stated that the Health Branch will take this event as a starting point, strictly follow the requirements of the constitution, continue to integrate high-quality resources, deepen exchanges and cooperation with all parties, and make practical efforts in talent cultivation, technology transformation, science popularization services, etc., to contribute more to the implementation of the Healthy China strategy and the construction of the Five Centers serving Shanghai.

The successful hosting of this event not only allowed attendees to witness the birth of the Health Branch of the Shanghai Health, Safety and Environment Research Association, but also injected new ideas and momentum into the development of the health field through the insights of authoritative experts and innovative sharing of young scholars. Looking ahead to the future, with the gradual progress of various work of the Health Branch, it will further break down the barriers of segmented industries in the health field, accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements, and build a more solid cooperation bridge for improving the health literacy of the whole nation and supporting the construction of a healthy China.
