Building a solid teaching foundation and maintaining safety bottom line - Our School holds a special training on teaching standardization and laboratory safety for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year

In order to further standardize teaching management, strengthen laboratory safety defenses, and comprehensively improve teaching quality and teachers' comprehensive literacy, our school conducted a special training on the standardization of teaching materials and laboratory safety for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year on September 12, 2025. Vice Dean Ji Jing and Vice Dean Wang Yuan attended the meeting, with the participation of all full-time teachers. The meeting focused on three core issues: teaching standards, skill improvement, and safety management, laying a solid foundation for the orderly promotion of teaching work in the new semester.

At the beginning of the training, Dean Wang Yuan focused on the two key areas of standardization of teaching materials and teaching discipline for explanation. In terms of the standardization of teaching materials, the dean of the teaching department has provided a detailed interpretation of the standard formats for teaching materials such as syllabus writing, lesson plan writing, courseware production, and homework grading records. He emphasizes that teaching materials are not only important for the teaching process, but also the core basis for ensuring teaching quality and improving teaching level. He requires all teachers to strictly improve the materials in accordance with the standards. In the teaching discipline section, the requirements for classroom teaching order management, teaching progress control, and standardized teacher-student interaction were reiterated. It was clarified that teachers need to fulfill their teaching responsibilities with a rigorous teaching attitude and strict discipline awareness, and effectively maintain a good teaching atmosphere.

Subsequently, teacher representative Zhou Pingping combined her valuable experience of participating in the teacher skills competition to bring a vivid skill sharing session to the teachers present. Teacher Zhou Pingping reviewed her preparation and participation process from the aspects of competition topic selection strategy, teaching implementation plan, and teaching demonstration skills, as well as how to integrate daily teaching with competition skills to achieve a two-way improvement in teaching ability.

Laboratory safety is the lifeline of teaching work. At the end of the training, laboratory director Niu Wei conducted a special training on laboratory safety management. Director Niu Wei deeply analyzed the common risk points in laboratory safety management, including operating standards for experimental equipment, storage and use of hazardous chemicals, emergency response procedures, and so on. And based on the specific layout and equipment characteristics of our laboratory, safety management suggestions have been proposed, requiring all teachers to raise safety awareness, strictly abide by laboratory safety regulations, and ensure the safe and orderly conduct of laboratory teaching and research activities.

This special training is rich in content and highlights key points. It not only clarifies the specific requirements for teaching material standards and teaching discipline, but also provides effective methods for teachers to improve their teaching skills, and strengthens their sense of responsibility for laboratory safety management. The attending teachers expressed that they will take this training as an opportunity to integrate the knowledge and skills learned into the teaching work of the new semester, effectively build a solid teaching foundation, hold the safety bottom line, and contribute greater strength to the improvement of teaching quality and talent cultivation work of the school.
