Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University's Announcement on the End of the Second Semester and the New Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year Notice of School Opening Arrangements

According to the university calendar and teaching arrangements, and after research and decision by the school, the end of this semester and the start of the new semester are hereby notified as follows. All units are requested to do a good job in implementing the arrangements.

Ⅰ、Summer vacation schedule

The summer vacation for all students will begin on June 21st; For students engaged in scientific research projects, social practice, competition training, vocational qualification certification, etc., the start time will be notified separately by the relevant responsible units;

Report the examination results before June 25th;

From June 20th to 28th, all staff members of each secondary college must provide employment guidance and assistance to unemployed students on campus. Specific arrangements will be notified separately;

The summer vacation for faculty and staff will begin on June 28th.

Ⅱ、New semester opening arrangement

1.Student arrangement

Pudong Campus:

On September 14th, 23rd grade vocational college students reported for duty:

Jinshan Campus:

From September 13th to 14th, students from the 23rd grade of middle and high school, students from the 24th grade of vocational college, and undergraduate students from the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th grades will report for classes on September 15th;

From September 13th to 14th, undergraduate students in the 25th grade will report for duty. Enrollment education will be conducted from September 15th to 21st, and classes will officially begin on September 22nd;

From September 20th to 21st, students from the 25th vocational school and students from the 25th vocational college to undergraduate program will report for duty, and classes will officially begin on September 22nd.

2.Arrangement of faculty and staff

All faculty and staff will officially start work on September 8th, and shuttle buses will operate as usual.

We plan to conduct centralized training for all middle-level cadres from August 27th to 30th, and the specific arrangements will be notified separately.

Ⅲ、Regarding arrangements

1. Each unit should compare the list of key work tasks for 2025 and the key points of party and government work:

Thoroughly review the completion status of work in the first half of the year (using quantitative indicators based on completion rate statistics) and the focus of work in the second half of the year; The functional departments have been approved by the school leaders in charge, and the secondary colleges have been approved by the joint meeting of the college's party and government. They must be submitted to the Party and Government Office (email:) before June 28th shzq@shzg.edu.cn Or enterprise WeChat (Single Juchao), and make arrangements for holiday duty, submit the duty form to the Party and Government Office (email:) before June 15th shzq@shzq.edu.cn Or enterprise WeChat is a fast lane.

2. Each relevant functional department should strictly follow the scope of its functions and the job responsibilities of serving teachers and students, scientifically plan and properly implement summer work arrangements, and effectively ensure the orderly progress of all work.

3. All faculty and staff must strictly compare their job responsibilities (teaching type, research-oriented teaching and research heavy, administrative management personnel, etc.), focus on key tasks such as education and teaching, scientific research, social services, and innovation and entrepreneurship, scientifically formulate summer work plans, and ensure their implementation. Each secondary unit (college) should fulfill its main responsibility, strengthen process management and business guidance, and ensure the orderly progress of all summer work.

4. All secondary units in the school must comprehensively carry out safety hazard investigation and rectification work, strictly implement door and window locking and water and electricity facility inspection, and effectively take fire prevention, theft prevention, flood prevention and other safety precautions. Each unit should properly keep important items such as seals and documents, and organize environmental sanitation and indoor standardization work in their respective areas simultaneously. Logistics and security departments, property management companies, libraries, sports teaching and research rooms, and other units should effectively fulfill their regulatory responsibilities, focus on summer campus safety duty and service guarantee work, coordinate the operation guarantee of daily living facilities such as canteens, sports halls, and libraries before and after the summer, and ensure the safety and stability of the campus during the holiday and the orderly development of various service work.

5. During the holiday period, communication and contact should be maintained, and faculty and staff members who visit or travel to other places must report to the leaders of their secondary units in advance; Current middle-level cadres must report to their respective school leaders in advance before leaving Shanghai, and arrange relevant work and contact persons for their work during the departure period. All teachers and students must return to school on time at the beginning of the new semester. Each secondary unit should conduct inspections and statistics at that time, and report the statistical results to relevant functional departments in a timely manner.

During the holidays, each secondary college, admissions office, student affairs office, and relevant functional departments should carefully prepare for the start of the new semester, enrollment, and welcoming of new students. The Ministry of Armed Forces and relevant secondary colleges should coordinate and arrange the recruitment and political review work.

7. The Student Affairs Office, Youth League Committee and other relevant secondary units should coordinate and arrange summer social practice activities for students. The Student Affairs Office, Rear Support Office, National Communications Office, Youth League Committee and secondary colleges should implement the learning and life of students who stay on campus.

8.To ensure smooth information flow and normal operation of related work throughout the school during holidays, the school arranges for school leaders to lead classes, middle-level cadres to be on duty, and major functional departments to rotate on duty every Monday and Thursday. To use the school level seal, an application for seal use must be filled out on the enterprise WeChat government platform, and the approval procedures must be strictly followed. Seal use should be handled on Mondays and Thursdays every week. Holiday duty personnel should be diligent and responsible, handle daily affairs, keep good duty records, and report major matters to the leaders of their secondary units and school leaders in a timely manner. The arrangements for holiday duty and school facility opening will be released separately.
