Using a pen as a sword to sharpen for four years, I am now unsheathed and testing my sharpness for the first time. The undergraduate thesis defense of the College of Food and Pharmacy for the class of 2025 will be held as scheduled on May 9th. The students participating in this defense include the 23rd level undergraduate program and the 21st level undergraduate program in food science. This defense is not only a concentrated test of students' learning outcomes, but also a comprehensive examination of their academic research abilities. From proposal to final draft, refine the depth and standardization of the paper through repeated deliberation. This defense is not only about submitting an academic answer sheet, but also a solemn summary of one's youthful struggle.
On the day of the defense, all on-site work was carried out in an orderly manner with the assistance of volunteers. In the waiting room, volunteers carefully guide the completion of sign in to ensure smooth progress of the process; Students should seize the last moment to review and consolidate the content of their papers, striving to stand on the defense podium in their best state.
At the defense site, students took the stage in order and elaborated on the background of the topic, research methods, and innovative points. Expert mentors adhere to the principle of meticulous review and refinement, focusing on core elements such as clarity and innovation of research content, effectiveness of research methods, and scientificity of theoretical frameworks, and providing students with detailed and highly targeted revision suggestions. When faced with questions, students responded calmly and carefully recorded the parts that needed to be optimized, in order to facilitate the subsequent improvement of their graduation thesis.
The writing and defense of graduation thesis is a key link in talent cultivation in universities, and also a touchstone for testing students' academic literacy and comprehensive abilities. The defense has come to an end, and youth has not yet come to an end. The food and medicine students who set sail from campus are loaded with knowledge treasures, and now stand at the intersection of graduation, about to embrace the future. May the graduates of the class of 2025 continue to hone their professional skills in their future positions with a passion for seeking knowledge and an attitude of striving for excellence, respond to the needs of the times with what they have learned today, and shine with their own brilliance on a new journey.
