In order to fully tap into the subjective initiative of teachers and stimulate their inner motivation, on January 3, 2025, the college held the 2024 year-end summary and commendation conference in the report hall of Shanghai School of Materials Engineering. The conference was chaired by Vice Dean Ji Jing and attended by Chen Jianlan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, and all faculty and staff.
Dean Ji summarized the main work achievements of the college in 2024 from four aspects: ideological and political education, college management, classification evaluation, and characteristic highlights, and arranged and deployed the key work for 2025. She pointed out that with the joint efforts of all faculty and staff, the college has steadily developed in all aspects of work in 2024 and achieved excellent results. At the same time, she put forward relevant requirements for the work of the college in 2025 in terms of party building guidance, professional construction, talent cultivation, and scientific research improvement. She hopes that all teachers in the college can forge ahead and strive for the development of themselves, the college, and the school.
Secretary Chen made a brief speech on the party building, student affairs, propaganda and other work under his jurisdiction. She summarized the problems in the work of the college with vivid cases and reminded teachers to pay attention to public opinion control in the teaching process. At the same time, she put forward specific requirements for the next year's work and clarified the work ideas.
To commend outstanding faculty and staff and set an example. The conference commended 10 outstanding faculty and staff members of the college and 5 outstanding faculty and staff members of the school for the year 2024, and presented honorary certificates on site.
Wei Yongzhong, Director of Biopharmaceutical Technology, as the top ranked teacher in the college's performance ranking, shared his successful experience on site. He mentioned that as long as he is willing to study and understand the tricks, he will definitely gain something. There are no shortcuts on the road to success. You must dare to try, seize opportunities, and take action.
After the meeting, everyone visited the open training center, smart classroom, and physical and chemical training room of Shanghai School of Materials Engineering.
