The Shanghai Municipal Education Commission has announced the list of candidates for the 2024 Morning Light Plan project, and Zhou Xiaofei from the School of Food and Pharmacy is expected to be selected for the project. Since 2022, our teachers have been selected for the Shanghai Morning Light Plan project for three consecutive years.
The Morning Light Plan is a talent training program aimed at strengthening the construction of the teaching staff in local universities and enhancing the research capabilities of young teachers in universities. It was initiated and funded by the Shanghai Education Development Foundation in 2007, and jointly implemented with the Shanghai Education Commission. The program is aimed at cultivating young teachers in local universities.The purpose is to promote the construction of the teaching staff in local universities, facilitate the growth of outstanding talents, and especially cultivate a group of young backbone teachers. Since its launch in 2007, this program has become an important platform for enhancing the research capabilities of young university teachers in Shanghai.
It is reported that Teacher Zhou is the sixth Morning Light Scholar trained by the School of Food and Pharmacy, marking another important progress in talent cultivation and scientific research in the college. The college will continue to support the growth and development of young teachers, encourage more teachers to participate in the Morning Light Plan, and jointly promote scientific research progress in the field of food science.
