On November 15th, 2024, the China Central and Eastern European Countries Vocational College Industry Education Alliance Conference was held in Hefei, Anhui. The conference is guided by the China Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, the China Education International Exchange Association, and the Anhui Provincial Department of Education. It is hosted by the China Central and Eastern European Countries Vocational College Industry Education Alliance and organized by Anhui Vocational and Technical College. The conference, with the theme of International Integration of Industry and Education, Cultivating New Quality Productivity, brought together over a hundred leaders, experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from member units of the alliance to explore new models and paths for vocational education and industry education cooperation.

The China Central and Eastern European Countries Vocational College Industry Education Alliance is a non-governmental, non-profit multilateral cooperation organization established under the guidance and support of the China Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Vocational Education and Adult Education, the China Education International Exchange Association, as well as various authoritative institutions such as the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Education. The alliance was officially established in November 2022 and is the only national level platform for vocational education cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries under the Ministry of Education. Currently, it has been included in the China Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation Framework by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since its establishment, the alliance has fully utilized its unique platform advantages, actively united and led all member units to jointly promote the construction and development of the alliance. Nowadays, the alliance has gathered 145 member units from China and 14 Central and Eastern European countries, of which 51%, or 74 units, are from Central and Eastern European countries, fully demonstrating the extensive international influence of the alliance. The types of member units are diverse, covering universities, enterprises, industry associations, and research institutions, forming a diversified cooperation system that closely integrates industry, academia, research, and application. In addition, the alliance is committed to promoting the deep integration of vocational education and industry practice, strengthening communication and collaboration among members through organizing various exchange activities, cooperative projects, and resource sharing. The alliance also actively pays attention to the adjustment trends and technological upgrading dynamics of global and regional industrial structures, in order to cultivate industrial talents with international vision and high quality. At the same time, the alliance emphasizes promoting scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges, utilizing cutting-edge research results to drive continuous innovation and development of vocational education, and injecting new vitality into vocational education cooperation and economic development between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
At the meeting, the China Central and Eastern European Countries Vocational College Industry Education Alliance officially unveiled the establishment of the Food Quality and Safety Professional Committee led by Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University. This is the first and currently the only professional committee of the alliance dedicated to the food industry. This move not only highlights the alliance's special emphasis on education cooperation in the food industry, but also marks a crucial step forward in deepening the integration of industry and education, and promoting seamless integration between vocational education and the food industry.


In addition, the successful signing of a cooperation project between Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and the University of Rzesz ó w in Poland (known as Uniwersytet Rzeszowski in Polish) was witnessed at the meeting. As a renowned institution in the city of Zetzow, Poland, the University of Zetzow not only has an excellent reputation in the field of education, but also has strong research and teaching capabilities in multiple disciplines closely related to the food industry, such as food science, biotechnology, food quality and safety. The signing of this cooperation project is based on the common vision and complementary advantages of both parties in the field of food quality and safety. The joint cooperation between Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Rexroth University will rely on their respective professional advantages to explore new models of vocational education and training in the food industry, contribute to promoting international cooperation and development in the food industry, and cultivate high-quality talents with international perspectives and professional skills.
The establishment of the Food Quality and Safety Professional Committee is one of the important measures for the alliance to explore vocational education going global and education following output. The professional committee will work together with food related enterprises, vocational colleges and relevant institutions from all walks of life in China and Central and Eastern European countries to establish a sound and reasonable special committee mechanism, work together to explore a new path for the integrated development of industry and education in the food field, drive development with innovation, lead industrial upgrading, realize the deep integration of industry, learning, research and use, empower young people, cultivate international technical and skilled talents to meet the needs of the industry, and provide support for international cooperation under the the Belt and Road initiative.
