According to the 2023-2024 Academic Year Calendar of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and the 2024-2025 Academic Year Calendar of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, and after deliberation and decision by the President's Office Meeting, we hereby notify you of the relevant arrangements for the summer vacation and new semester opening of the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year as follows:
1、 Summer vacation arrangements
（1） The summer vacation for all students starts on June 29, 2024, and the summer vacation for faculty and staff starts on July 8, 2024.
（2） Starting from July 8th, the school will arrange for school leaders to lead classes, middle-level cadres to be on duty, and major functional departments to rotate their work on a weekly basis. Each secondary college is requested to arrange rotation work during the summer vacation to ensure smooth work channels and timely disposal of various emergency incidents.
2、 New semester opening schedule
（1） Student arrangements
1.22 Vocational College Students (Pudong Campus) will register on September 8th and attend classes officially on September 9th;
2.23 vocational college students, undergraduate students from grades 21, 22, and 23 will register from September 7th to September 8th and attend classes on September 9th;
3.24 level undergraduate students and 24 level undergraduate students will register on September 18th, 24 level vocational students will register on September 19th, 24 level freshmen will undergo military training from September 20th to September 27th, and classes will begin on September 30th.
（2） Arrangement of faculty and staff
All faculty and staff will officially start work on September 2nd, and the shuttle bus will continue as usual.
Please arrange the use of cafeteria meals and daily living facilities before and during the holiday in the logistics department.
All personnel should conscientiously carry out the final closing and special discussions arranged by the school and each secondary college (department, department, office, library); During the summer vacation, actively prepare for the teaching and management of box services for the next semester.
3、 Holiday precautions
（1） During the summer vacation, the logistics department will work with the property management company to ensure the basic supply of daily necessities such as water and electricity for the school, and to ensure that daily facilities such as the school cafeteria are open to students and teachers staying on campus.
（2） All relevant functional departments and secondary colleges should establish and improve various safety plans to ensure the safety of personnel and public and private property during summer vacation; Strictly guard against all possible safety accidents, pay special attention to theft prevention, fire prevention, flood prevention, and accident prevention. On duty personnel should strictly guard their positions, be vigilant, and take preventive measures, while also taking personal safety precautions.
（3） All middle-level cadres should maintain smooth communication tools during the summer vacation. If they participate in medical treatment, travel to other provinces and cities, or travel abroad for family and friends, tourism, or vacation, they should report their departure information to the school office box supervisor in advance, and arrange relevant work and work contacts during their departure from Shanghai.
