On November 16th, the final of the 2nd Shanghai Vocational College Student Innovation and Creativity Competition was held by the west bank of Xuhui River, and Zhao Zhen, Deputy Director of the Municipal Education Commission, attended. The competition aims to explore and showcase the innovative thinking and practical abilities of Shanghai vocational college students, further promote the deep integration of vocational education and innovative education, and build a new bridge for vocational education students to innovate and transform, allowing them to find a test field for creative transformation.
The finals will be presented in a centralized manner through a marketplace, where participating students will engage in in-depth communication and interaction with judges and audiences through project introductions, on-site demonstrations, and interactive Q&A. The judges will give a comprehensive rating based on the project's innovation, practicality, market prospects, and other aspects. After strict evaluation by experts, the list of winners for the competition was announced on December 3, 2024. The project Revitalization of Intangible Cultural Heritage by Li Jiatong, a student from the School of Art at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, achieved excellent results in the cultural and creative category of the 2nd Shanghai Vocational College Student Innovation and Creativity Competition and won the gold medal. This project is guided by Professor Zhu Xi, the head of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Master Studio, and Professor Shen Yuan from the School of Arts. The student team members include Li Jiatong and Xu Wanting.
The award-winning project presented the rich intangible cultural heritage and unique local landscape of Jinshan District, Shanghai through a long scroll format. Selecting elements such as Huangjiu, Little White Dragon, Jinshan Farmer Painting, Fengjing Ding Ti, and integrating them with modern urban elements, presenting a unique trendy Jinshan style, with a focus on showcasing the beauty of Shanghai's intangible cultural heritage and advanced beauty, cultural and creative product design is carried out.
The Revitalization of Intangible Cultural Heritage project not only presents the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage, but also marks an important practice of the School of Art at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University in the inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage. The appearance at the 2nd Shanghai Vocational College Student Innovation and Creativity Competition not only showcases the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage, but also fully demonstrates the efforts and remarkable achievements of art college students in the inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage.
