Dean Yan Hui of School of International Education is invited to visit Curtin University Singapore Campus

On March 27, 2024, Yan Hui, Dean of the School of International Education at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University was invited to visit Curtin University in Singapore Campus. 



Curtin University in Australia, as a globally renowned comprehensive university, excels in fields such as business, engineering, and science. This academic gem in Australia continues to lead the global university rankings, with its QS ranking firmly at the forefront of the world, fully demonstrating its outstanding academic strength and international influence. With multicultural and internationalized city background, the school not only inherits the academic rigor and innovative spirit of Curtin University, but also highlights its unique educational advantages.


The campus has a superior geographical location, offering interdisciplinary courses such as business, health, and mass media, with a focus on practical teaching and career development.The Curtin University Singapore campus is not only dedicated to academic education, but also actively promotes the comprehensive development of students, making significant contributions to cultivating outstanding talents with an international perspective.



Accompanied by Carmen Wong, Dean Yan Hui visited the campus facilities and learned about the teaching model, curriculum setting and enrollment situation of the Singapore campus. Dean Yan Hui stated that the successful experience of Curtin University Singapore campus has high reference value for the construction of the School of International Education at Zhongqiao University. She hopes that in the future, the two universities can further strengthen cooperation and jointly promote the development of international education.


Ms. Carmen Wong extended a warm welcome to Ms Yan Hui for her visit. She pointed out that Curtin University has always attached great importance to educational cooperation with countries, especially in establishing closer connections with higher education institutions in China. Ms. Carmen Wong said that she hopes through this visit, two sides can further strengthen the cooperative relationship and jointly cultivate more outstanding talents with an international perspective.



This visit is the second exchange and cooperation between the two universities, following the visit of representatives from Curtin University to our university last year, the overseas Chinese student exchange program, and the teacher ELB training program. It not only enhanced the mutual understanding between Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University  and Curtin University Singapore, but also laid a solid foundation for future partnership between the two universities. Looking forward to greater contributions to the development of international education for two universities.


During this visit, Dean Yan Hui also visited the local high-tech zone and had in-depth exchanges with representatives of corporate managers in the zone. Dean Yan Hui mentioned that by visiting advanced enterprises and research institutions, she has been deeply impressed by Singapore's technological innovation capabilities and looks forward to cooperation between the two sides in academic exchanges, talent cultivation, and other fields in the future. This trip will bring new opportunities to Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and help to take more solid steps towards internationalization and innovation.
