From January 15th to February 2nd, 2024, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University hosted the first International Winter Program, welcoming 11 students and teachers from Kyungnam University of South Korea. They had a deep experience of Chinese life and created unforgettable memories. During the study exchange period at SHZQU, the school made advance planning and also organized it scientifically. The school fully meets the diverse learning needs of international students, not only visiting the prosperous attractions of Shanghai as an international metropolis, but also exploring the achievements of rural revitalization.

Students experience the profoundness of Chinese traditional culture, the achievements of rural revitalization construction, as well as the characteristics and advantages of vocational education at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, and thus they have a deeper understanding of China, Shanghai, and SHZQU.

Congratulations on the successful hosting of the International Winter Program! Believing in the 20-day winter program, Korean students deeply felt the efforts made by Zhongqiao University in international strategic development. Chinese language teaching, Chinese cultural experience, drone application, Chinese cuisine production, and introduction to traditional Chinese medicine reflect the unique teaching characteristics of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University's vocational undergraduate programs. During this winter program, we not only experienced the charm of Shanghai as an international metropolis, but also felt the profound connotation of Chinese culture, the achievements of the rural revitalization strategy, and the educational characteristics of the integration of production and education at SHZQU.
The successful hosting of this winter program will further enhance the quality of international talent cultivation and create favorable conditions for expanding the source of international students in our school. Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University adheres to the path of international education, continuously deepens international exchanges and cooperation, and has obtained ACQUIN (the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) International Certification, making it the only vocational university in China to receive this certification. In October of the same year, the School of Economics and Management successfully joined AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), becoming the first vocational university in China to be selected for this alliance. In recent years, the level of international education in schools has been continuously improving. The School of International Education, IBT International Vocational Education Research Institute, CVTT Sino-German Vocational Teacher Training Center, and the Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University&Helsinki Future Engineering College have been successively established that providing students with a broad platform for studying abroad and overseas study tours. We have established international exchanges and cooperation with nearly 20 high-quality overseas universities in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Finland, France, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. Every year, nearly a hundred students go abroad to study or participate in short-term academic visits. At the same time, there are also students from Germany, South Korea, and Southeast Asia who come to Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University to study.
