Born in Haiyan, Zhejiang Province on November 14, 1952. Yang Yuliang is a polymer scientist, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Graduated from Fudan University in 1977 and remained as a teacher. Dr.Yang received Ph. D. degree from the Department of Materials Science of Fudan University in 1984. Professor at Fudan University in 1993; Vice President of Fudan University in 1999. In 2003, he was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. January 2009 -- October 2014 President of Fudan University; In November 2014, he served as the Dean of the Research Institute for the Preservation of Chinese Ancient Books of Fudan University.
