In order to stimulate the students to learn English fun, improve the comprehensive cultural literacy and artistic accomplishment, enrich the campus cultural life, for the students to provide a show of talent, publicity personality, exercise self platform. On the evening of March 28, 2024, the preliminary round of the Foreign Language Song Contest of the College of Architecture and Engineering kicked off. Li Yue, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Architecture and Engineering, Xin Yi, Minister of the Sports and Recreation Department of the Student Union, and all the contestants participated in the event. The event was hosted by Luo Jingjing, Class 1 of 23 Buildings.
On the stage, the contestants had standard pronunciation, mellow sound quality, full of emotion and strong expression, and pushed the competition to a climax again and again. They are confident and generous, with their unique voice of nature to deduce the beauty of foreign songs of different types of music, for the audience to bring a wonderful shock performance.
The audience and the contestants cooperated well, sometimes followed the rhythm of the music, sometimes waved their hands with the song, and sometimes cheered for the contestants, the scene atmosphere was very active.
Finally, after a fierce competition, the judges scored the first, second and third prizes from the aspects of timbre, rhythm and expression.
After the exciting competition, the preliminary competition of the Foreign Language Song Contest of the College of Architecture and Engineering came to a successful conclusion. The contestants demonstrated the charm of language and culture through singing, fully demonstrated the youthful spirit of the students of the School of Civil Engineering, stimulated the students' interest and enthusiasm in learning foreign languages, interpreted vitality with songs, and performed brilliantly with youth. Finally, I wish the finalists can make persistent efforts and achieve excellent results in the finals!
