On October 30, the English writing contest of "FLTRP·National Talent Cup" ended at Shanghai Vocational and Technical College of Arts and Crafts. Chen Ye, a student majoring in Applied English of the School of Foreign Languages in our university, won the third prize.
The English writing contest of the "FLTRP·National Talent Cup" aims to stimulate college students' enthusiasm for English learning, improve students' writing ability, and insist on cultivating international talents with international vision and innovative consciousness. The main purpose of the competition is to keep up with current affairs, highlight value guidance, actively promote teaching and educate people with competition, and provide students with the opportunity to show their English style and a stage for self-challenge.
The competition received enthusiastic support and response from all the students in our university. After the registration notice for the competition was issued, the registration was soon full, fully demonstrating students' enthusiasm for English learning and their self-confidence in daring to meet challenges. After the selection of the preliminary competition, Chen Ye, an outstanding student in our school, was selected to represent our university. Under the careful guidance of Vice Dean Li Xiuming, Chen Ye won the third prize in the final.
