The Shanghai Provincial Final of the "2022 FLTRP·ETIC Cup" English Public Speaking Contest (undergraduate group) came to a triumphant end on November 6th in the Shanghai Second Institute of Technology University. The contest was co-sponsored by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press and China Foreign Language and Education Research Center. The outstanding contestants from 30 undergraduate universities in the city gave full, vivid and wonderful speeches on the stage. Chen Yichao, a class of 20th grade Engineering program of our university, won the third prize with his confidence and strength. His instructors were Ms. Zeng Kaili and Mrs. Wang Xiu'e.
Behind Chen Yichao's confident speech on the stage is the daily hard practice of speaking and presentation skills, the strong support of the leadership of the School of Foreign Languages, and the silent dedication of the instructors. The "FLTRP·ETIC Cup" is the oldest, highest level and the most influential English skills competition for college students in China. Our students have demonstrated the outstanding performance of "ZhongQiao students" and the excellent results of English teaching reform and development in our university.
