In order to standardize the work of undergraduate thesis (design), ensure the quality of graduation thesis (design), and objectively reflect the real progress of each graduate's thesis, the School of Information Engineering conducted a mid-term inspection of the 2024 undergraduate thesis (design) on March 12, 2024. The college attaches great importance to this mid-term inspection, and has made unified arrangements for related work. A preparatory meeting of the defense team leader has been held in advance to explain and remind the precautions during the defense.
The mid-term inspection work is divided into 5 groups, which will be conducted through online inspection and defense. A total of 105 undergraduate graduates from the 20th and 22nd levels of the School of Information Engineering participated in the defense, and 23 teachers from the entire school participated in the defense evaluation.
During the inspection process, the team leaders of each group first state the inspection process and precautions, and then select some graduates for defense and report, elaborating on the main content of the graduation thesis, the ideas, design methods, and key design technologies of the graduation project. After the presentation, the defending students will conduct an on-site demonstration of their graduation project. The defense review, based on the student's report, provides targeted questions and suggestions to help students clarify the shortcomings in their graduation design and thesis writing, and points out the direction for them to make revisions and improve the content in the later stage.
The smooth progress of this mid-term inspection has effectively promoted the progress of the college's thesis work, standardized the workflow of the mid-term inspection, and effectively strengthened the process management and quality supervision of the graduation thesis work.
