In order to solidly carry out student work in the new semester, improve the overall quality and work efficiency of the college counselor team, and ensure the orderly and efficient development of student work, the College of Information Engineering held the first meeting of all counselors of this semester at 18:00 on the evening of March 13th in the 306 conference room of the college. Dean Zhao Xin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch Tang Bin, Secretary of the Youth League Committee Xue Fei, and all college counselors attended this meeting. The meeting was chaired by Tang Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch.
Dean Zhao Xin emphasized that counselors and teachers should establish a service management concept, help students solve problems, dare to take responsibility, grasp implementation, actively face various problems, act well, and widely participate in the development of the school. As life mentors and close friends for students to grow and live a healthy life, counselors and teachers should do a good job in various tasks at the beginning of the semester, provide thoughtful services and companionship, help students clarify their goals at each stage, and enhance their sense of identification and belonging to the school.
Teacher Tang Bin arranged and deployed the key points of student work for this semester from the aspects of student work team construction, ideological and political education, daily management services, and mental health education. At the same time, he emphasized that everyone should pay close attention to the warning student list provided by the school's psychological center. While talking with students and caring about their studies, he also helped them relieve psychological pressure and maintain a peaceful and stable state of mind. Teacher Tang Bin emphasized that in the process of carrying out student work, attention should be paid to political leadership, ideological guidance, psychological counseling, learning guidance, behavioral guidance, and employment guidance, in order to safeguard the healthy growth of students.
Finally, Teacher Tang Bin gave a concluding speech on this conference and made demands to all counselors: everyone should fulfill their responsibilities, adhere to the safety bottom line, strengthen communication and coordination, strive to be a confidant, enthusiastic person, and guide for young students, establish a good image of teacher ethics, continuously enhance the confidence to do a good job in student work, adhere to student-centered, wholeheartedly serve students, and work hard.
The convening of this meeting of all counselors laid a solid foundation for the work of students in the School of Information Engineering in the new semester, pointed out the direction of work, and also provided a platform for counselors to communicate and learn.
