On October 29th, the 2023 Dream Sailing Campus Esports Skills Talent Competition was officially opened in Shanghai, sponsored by the Shanghai Science and Technology Education Center and the Shanghai Campus Esports Association, jointly organized by Perfect World Education Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Second Polytechnical University. The aim of this competition is to guide students in their understanding of esports employment skills through the form of esports skills competitions, expand the reserve of esports talents in Shanghai, enhance the employment skills of esports talents in Shanghai, and help Shanghai build itself into the global esports capital.
The Shanghai Esports Professional Skills Competition is one of the main activities of the Esports Association. This competition is divided into two tracks: event creativity and esports, including event content production, event video editing, event IP design, and the King of Glory competition. There are four events from Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai Second Industrial University, and Shanghai Institute of Electronic Information Technology 56 participating teams from 16 universities, including Shanghai Publishing and Printing University, participated in this competition.
After intense competition, the teams led by Teacher Yin Ruiyang, including Dong Bowen, Zhang Wenhao, Wang Zhengkai, and the teams led by Fan Xuqi, Li Yunze, and Chen Wanjia, participated in the competition content production project and won first and third prizes respectively. Teacher Yin Ruiyang was awarded the Excellent Guidance Teacher Award. Guided by Teacher Chen Yun, the teams of Jiang Xiaoshun and Zhao Xinyang won the third prize in the video editing project of the competition. Under the guidance of Teacher Wang Gang, Zhao Xinyue won the third prize in the IP design project of the competition. The first prize of each sub competition has been awarded with corresponding 1+X level certificates, fully reflecting the core purpose of the competition to improve skills.
I hope that this competition can further enhance the electronic sports skills and teamwork spirit of the participants, highlight the educational characteristics of campus electronic sports through vocational skills competitions, provide students with a platform to showcase the charm of electronic sports, strengthen electronic sports professional skills, and truly play the role of electronic sports talent cultivation. The School of Information Engineering will take this competition as an opportunity to continue cultivating and discovering more outstanding esports talents, injecting new vitality and hope into the development of the esports industry.
