In August 2022, the Challenge 710: CET-4 Practice Test Collection, edited by Li Xiuming and Zeng Guanguan of the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, with the participation of Yu Xiaochen, Miao Qing, Li Man, Liu Junge and Wang Xiu'e, was published and issued by the authoritative publisher Fudan University Press.
Combining the teaching experience of front-line teachers with the actual needs of students preparing for the test, the book precisely analyzes the language points that appear in the CET-4.The book highlights key vocabulary explanation, long and difficult sentence analysis, translation skills and writing structure training and it also contains targeted key points summary and key content tips, not only reveals the laws of the proposition, but also consolidates the test points with rich exercises.The book，with two dimensions of teaching and learning, and a combination of test and practice, is a multi-dimensional preparation book for the CET-4.
The process of compiling the book was arduous and it took about one year. Starting from students' difficulties in preparing for the test as well as the improvement of the students’ preparation efficiency, the teachers involved analyzed students’ learning conditions, talked about teaching methods, and emphasized the application of knowledge to help to enhance students’ learning skills. The teachers collectively discussed and explored the examination points; deepened the logic and language to optimize the content of the explanation; summarized the test skills to strengthen students’ application ability; studied the CET-4 test to follow the pattern of the proposition.After many revisions, the book was finally released after layers of review and proofreading, providing students with professional preparation guidance and adequate test skills training, enabling them to master the skills for the CET-4 in a relatively short period of time so as to improve the efficiency of preparation, successfully pass the CET-4 and get the key to the subsequent journey.
