The national finals of the 2023 the Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition for the implementation and application of commercial service robots were successfully concluded on December 10, 2023 at Shanghai Minhang Vocational and Technical College, lasting three days.
In this competition, more than 40 participating teams from across the country competed on the same stage. The first team, led by Zhao Xin from the School of Information Engineering and Professor Liu Xuebin, led by Zhou Mingcan and Cao Yangyang, and the second team, led by Liu Xuebin and Professor Sun Xiudong, led by Lv Changsheng and Ma Kaihao, respectively, won the Excellence Award.
This competition takes the most typical application scenario of service robots in business as the background, and adopts a dual assessment model of theory and practical operation. Emphasis will be placed on examining the professional abilities of students in the deployment, debugging, testing, application, and delivery training of commercial service robots, as well as their professional qualities such as teamwork and safety awareness, as well as their comprehensive professional abilities. At the same time, evaluate students' professional abilities and comprehensive literacy in areas such as robot introduction, intelligent sensing technology, machine vision, robot application development, artificial intelligence technology, and human-computer interaction.
This competition has honed students' practical skills, adaptability, and teamwork, inspiring them to apply the knowledge they have learned to practical problem-solving.
